Computer Animation: Sit Stand

This is my final Computer Animation project of my Sophomore year! We had to do a 10 second animation where an original character enters frame, sits down, and has some motivation to get up and walk off screen. My character, Chip, is a little boy pretending to be an astronaut. In my Computer Animation class, we designed, built, rigged, textured, and animated our characters. (i also dabbled in voice acting….lol)  So, here is mine! Enjoy!

Character Design

This is a character design i had to do for my traditional animation class. His name is Murray and he is a very sassy fashionista.  (2013)

Sketchbook

Here are a bunch of doodles and character designs I've drawn in my sketchbook. A few are copies from character designs on pinterest, but the rest are all original!!  (2013-14)

Character Design

Here is some visual development through the whole process on a character named Pingo (which means 'tattoo' in Latin). Pingo is a Scorpion tattoo artist, who was banished from his home, only to be taken in by a family of circus people. While there he learns to swallow swords, and gives the circus people free tattoos in exchange for room and board.

First i did some research on scorpions:

Then i began developing a caricatured version. Trying out different combinations of shapes.

Finally I decided on this design:
